Alexandra Piras, an artist with an incredible communicative ability, is once again a guest at an exhibition organized by M.A.D.S. Art Gallery on the occasion of “DE.MO”. Alexandra’s works bring to mind that artistic current that saw its peak in the second half of the twentieth century in the United States, Helen Frankenthaler is the artist to whom Piras’s artistic production is most aligned.
On the occasion of this new exhibition, Alexandra presents two works belonging to the “Serie Verde.”, “Dream Green” represents the boundlessness of dreams, the thick, central line, made tone-on-tone, with a different texture than the rest of the work , represents the concreteness that gradually vanishes, just think of the consciousness that gives way to the unconscious, to dreams, when you fall asleep, “I want to evoke the theme of dreams and infinity.”, explains the artist, underlining his willingness to give voice to the imagination and to what can no longer be controlled.
“Echo Green”, recalls “Overture” by Helen Frankenthaler and like this great artist, Alexandra Piras does not represent a clear defined landscape but is the atmosphere of a landscape, its emotions, are what the landscape transmits that is represented on the canvas, with colors that create visual nuances, but also emotional ones. Observing the works of Piras is a journey that leads and drags into other worlds.
